The Meet
& Greet

Before every booking, you meet the pet and the pet parent face to face. It is the most important conversation you will have — here is how to make it count.

Meet and greet with pet parents — and the pet

Before each booking, you will meet the pet and the pet parent. It is super important for you — and for them — and it is where you start building trust.

How to nail your first meeting

Ask as many questions as you can. You can prepare in advance. Here is a checklist of the things you should know:

Don't forget to use the checklist sent in the WeChat group when you connect. Make it your own. You can also talk about your experience (don't embellish it) and your personal qualities.

Set up the meeting as soon as you are in touch with the pet owner. Last-minute meetings can lead to scheduling conflicts and rushed conversations that skip important details. The more time you have, the better the booking will go.

Best practices for a successful meet and greet

The checklist

The checklist is designed to help you cover the most important points, but make it your own. If you have suggestions to improve it, we are always looking for hints from our experienced sitters.

How to build trust with the pet owner

Always set up a meet and greet. The face-to-face meeting helps you make a strong first impression — and lets the pet get comfortable with you before the booking begins.

You can ask questions in the WeChat group dedicated to verified Nesters. It is a pet lovers' group — only sitters. Some of them have years of experience. Feel free to ask anything and get great tips from the community.
