How to keep the owner updated?

Emergency and guidelines
Stay calm and ask for help
In any stressful situation you might have with the pet you are taking care of, you have to contact HappyNest as soon as possible and give details of what happened, then we will inform the pet's parents and communicate on how we are solving the problem.
> The cat disappeared
If you saw where he went, don’t run after him, it will scare him more. Try to gently follow and call him, maybe using food. If you don’t know where he might be, please contact HappyNest immediately !
> The dog ran away
First you need to try and follow the dog. If you lose sight you can go to the police station and ask to see the CCTV to try and check. In the meantime, contact HappyNest
> The pet is injured
Use the vet contact you got during the meet and greet, and if the vet is closed or too far away, you have to check the nearest pet hospital to take the pet (HappyNest can help you, feel free to contact us)
> The pet is sick
First you need to identify symptoms and for how long the pet has been sick. You can talk in the group with the owner to see if that happened before. And then you can take actions : go to the vet, or follow instructions we will give you
> The pet is feeling down
Try to identify for how long the pet has been like this and make sure the pet is drinking and eating properly. If not, try to spend more time with the pet. If the pet is still unhappy, it could be because they are missing their parents or are sick, contact Happynest and ask in the group with the pet's parents for tips.
